Fuddle or PI for 4L80 converter?

Looks like the majority here uses a PI. For all of you how loose does the converter feel on the street and how efficient is it wot topend? Do any of you have it locking up in 3rd wot?

Kenny, ive beat the crap out of my fuddle 2.1 3400 for over a year now, ive sprayed 325hp nitrous on it, pulled a trailer with 4000 truck behind it and never had any trouble.

You could always call Midwest converters. They make a nice 80e converter. For reference that is what Mike Brown had in his race car when it had an 80e, running mid 8's.

I have a 2800 triple disc. It feels tight w/ easy part throttle acceleration around town. Feels great when you put your foot into it. I would like a little higher stall but I tow a boat too so i went w/ a 2800 to be safe.
