Default Front Differential Problem

so i discovered this weekend that my front differential is leaking where the CV and diff meet on the passenger side. i assume there is a seal there that might just be leaking? is it as easy a fix as pulling the diff, pull the CV and replace the seal?

also, the way i discovered this problem is that when i turn left (so it puts weight on the right side) i hear a kind of clicking sound. i assume this is the CV making the noise. could this be because of the bad seal?

Assuming where the half shaft meets the diff? If so yes its the seal in the end of the diff. I replaced mine about a year ago. Common from what I've read. No clicking with mine. Just noticed the oil slinging.

I left the diff in the truck. Removed the long side axle tube. There was a trick getting the axle out that I don't remember... but no biggie. Also some springs that you have to pay attention to and get back in correctly.

Sorry don't have the part number for the seal. You'll also need some of the special red sealant to put the tube back on.
