No problems using Dex VI here, in my truck and in my customers' vehicles.

Is the dex VI less viscous? Im considering switching to Dex VI just because of the cold temperatures here, I'm hoping the Dex VI may shift better when its 5* out.

I would say either fluid will work fine. If you change it when your suposed to it really wouldn't matter. But I run amsoil in my PerformaBuilt lvl 2 with about 8k on it. Works great!

Dex VI gels at a lower temp than Dex III. It works better than Dex III at low temps and also at high temps.
