can you tell me who is going to tune for your new transmission, i read that their is shifting issues,

i am thinking about ordering the same tranny from speed engeering too.

 

i didn't have any shifting issues. i got a file for a truck with a 4l80e and had the tranny part of it flashed into my computer. speartech sent me the proper file but it was just a stock 4l80e segment.

a 4l80e is a great upgrade. too bad these trucks dont just come with them.

 

I wanted so bad to go with one, but the 1000$ "swap" kit out there for swapping over from a 60e to an 80e, plus added cost of the 80e I just couldent justify it.. I know that i'll be eating my words when my 60E breaks sometime this summer on the 408 im building lol. I am just trying to decide on if I will need a level 4 or 5 60E =(

Speed engineering gets there level 4 and 5 trannys from FLT.

 

I have been saying the same thing once i drove the truck again. Mine is a level 3, but tha'ts becuase i'm only gonna do a radix sc, so don't really need the 5. But i can't imagine what would break an 80 though, even mine is pretty beefy.
