Fixed intermediate steering shaft now this issue?!
 

Took the thing apart the other day to grease it up and spun the stupid wheel while the shafts were apart, and now the air bag light stays on?
How the hell do I get this to shut off?
Part to replace, or just a code to reset?

you broke the coil in the steering wheel air bag sensor.u will need to remove the wheel and a few other parts

u need a new clock spring. if you have steering wheel controls is gonna cost over 300.00

LOL :jest: The ole spinning the wheel temptation while it's diconnected.
Happens to a lot of people. I bet you won't do it again. :judge:

I agree with the above mentioned dianosis, busted clock spring. A little trick that I do to keep the wheel from spinning while disconnecting an intermediate shaft is to either run the seat belt through the steering wheel and latch it to keep the wheel from spinning, or take a bungee cord and run it through the steering wheel and hook it on the bottom of the seat. (sometimes locking the wheel in place by just turning it until it clicks puts it into a position where you can't get to the bolts that you want to remove, so I use these methods to allow me to still be able to jiggle the wheel if necessary while keeping it from completely spinning and snapping the clock spring)

Oh man does that suck. C-spring is done!!!!

So where the F is the clock spring at?? I need to get one soon. :(

It was funning spinning that bitch watching it go round, and round, and round................. :bang: :jest:

when i do these at the shop i use a bungy cord to tie the wheel to the shifter lever. this will hold it still.

pull the air bag then the wheel and its right there. disconnect the battery while changing this. drive to louisiana i'll change it for you :jest: if you do this yourself you can look me up if you need some help.

Its like having a big red button that has a sign over it saying "DO NOT PUSH"...its irresistable....you want to spin the wheel, you NEED to spin that wheel....LOL
