Default Firestone Indy 500

I just put these tires (265/70/16) on my truck and they look awsome. I read the surveys about them on tire rack and the sounded good. I know it's to late, but is there any thing I need to be aware of that tire rack didn't say. Drove (65mph) to work in heavy rain this morning in standing water and no hydroplaning, good so far now all i need is snow. Other than that they made to truck look 10x better. Hopefully I'll have pics soon.

I have some friends that run FireHawks, it seems like a really good tire from what I've seen. Everyone complains about them being heavy though..

I've got them on my truck. The only thing I noticed with them, that was different than the stock generals, was that when cornering hard with drop shackles on, I could feel the truck move on the tires(the sidewalls flexing to the side). Other than that I have been very happy.

Yeah it's unfortunately that the side walls aren't stiffer but I didn't wanna go low pro's. Are shackles all you have. What kind and how much. Do you have pics of your truck.

I had shackles on my truck from last thanksgiving to this past august. I had to take them off, because I was moving all my stuff to college. The shackles are off now and I cannot feel the sway in the tires now.

here is a pic of the truck befre and after shackles. Not much of a difference, but I like stealth.

I think the firehawks are good truck ties.... but you are right, they are not built for good cornering but you are right, they do look good.
