Default Finding it real hard with 4l80e swap!

Ok here the deal! I don't think its any honest. transmission builders in Abq. I have a 4l80e I brought from a person I know it was working find, but they didn't change tranny fluids in a 100.000 miles about. Not wanting to just put it in cause I see it working I tried to find a shop to rebuild it and put a shift kit in also... Nothing but headaches since.. First places wanted Sell me their tranny and keep my 4l80e and give me 150 for it. when I went to get back, tried to keep my torque converter and give me a different one back.. Hey when is so bad why you wanna keep it. Second place tell me 400 for clutches only and 360 for a shift kit comes to 760.00 and then said 1000 to make a nice one. After about a week. Now says 1400 to make it nice.. Damn, I can't change the price like that at my job... What do you guys think? And I'm mainly venting my frustration! As soon a you say Superchager they say bent over!!!!

Youre getting screwed... Bad!!! I dont ever quote a job til i know what im looking at.... I will charge teardown, and then tell the customer they need x y z and d and if they wanna add anything else we gonfrom ther but its gonna be the price they were quoted within 20-30 for the goofy lil part or two i missed, and that will usually get eaten in the end anyway!!!! Its jackasses like youre dealing with that give those of us that try to be as upfront and HONEST as possible a bad rap!!!

Pretty normal. Most local shops wont even kiss u first. Ship it to a known shop and have it done right if I were you.

I should have!!! Had it pulled apart and its was in really good shape a little wear on the bushings but could have ran for a long time I'm sure. But that its torn down I looking at this kit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/171432092377?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
