Here is the issue. I am not so much worried about the height as so much how much the rim/tire stick out. I am hoping that the rim tucks enough so if I hit a bump it will not screw up the fender. I might go with the 275/40. I will test fit the rim first before I buy the tires.

I was discussing with Dub Silverado my situation, and he said that I shouls be okay. A 275/40 will be my best choice of tire.

I knew the wheels would work with the right tire, I just thought that was too tall. I was looking around and the 275/40/20 tire I saw was the Hankook Ventus. Good tire and not that expensive.

Toyo makes a Z rated tire in a 275/40.
