External by pass for tru cool

Do the northern guys need the external by pass for the tru cool.

Default still on the fence about the by pass

do i need to get the Tru Cool with the by pass ???????????
GRANTED THEY HAVE A BUILT IN BY PASS
SO WHY DO THEY COME WITH A EXTERNAL ONE?

If you want to run it with the stock cooler it makes it easier.

Some don't use the stock cooler because if it breaks the trans will run out of fluid.

I want a bigger cooler, stock is not a option , im trying to protect my investment

40 series, not to be a dick but the 40k trans cooler is not this complicated. I'm no master mechanic but i did it in my garage in an hour and that was removing hayden 28k cooler. The external or internal thermal bypass is not rocket science. Just sell the truck and buy a Prius!

I have the 40 and run it through the radiator in place of the stock one. In several years of use I have not had an issue. In 90+ summer temps and pulling an enclosed trailer (7600 lbs) the temps rarely get above 170, usually about 150 deg.

Thats it im gon get a 40 , knowing a guy in mi has the good results

did you use the external by pass? The moderator said he thought i needed on here in mi.
