ext pops on acceleration

ext pops on acceleration

have an 02 ext awd that pops on acceleration but doesn't slip. Is it the transfer case?

If it's a clunk/clang type noise it could be the u-joints or the slip yoke. You could try greasing the slip yoke to see if the noise goes away.
