1. I will be swapping a ls with 4l80e as well but from a 92, so it is from 700r4. I got the whole trans with transfer case from the 4l80. What else do i need if i plan to use the 4l80e transfer case? DO i need to change the yoke as well?

2. I heard that some people use dirty dingo adapter and it is adjustable that you can actually utilize the stock driveshaft. How reliable is that info?

3.How hard is it to modify the crossmember?
I did a custom mod. There is someone here that makes a crazy awesome custom one.

For you guys that just added angle to the back side of the cross member for the mount (4wd) do any of you have the b&m style pan? If so did you have any clearance issues with not cutting the cross member?

Ok that's good to hear, mine has the deep pan but it's stil in shipping. So I have nothing to moc up yet. I don't like the look of the chop it up and move it back version. The simple angle iron one looks better.

Best part of using the angle iron as compared to the cut and shifted cross member is that if your welds fail, your trans just lands on the stock cross member!

I am NOT a good welder so this was by design for me! Harbor Freight $99 welder, yo. If you have the $$, get the super nice custom one sold here. Its ******* ****!

I'm not sure if I missed it, but where did you get the T-case shaft?

Anyone know the part number for shaft and bearings for np246 autotrac ? I've seen multiple suggestions while searching.

Came with this extra bearing. Guess I'll figure out where it goes when I tear down the transfer case.
Edit: Found it. Input Gear pilot bearing.

Just a thought: I am in process of hooking up 4L80 in 03 Suburban.
Already have a few un-used pins in the ECM, and the wires run to the rear Bank one O2 sensor, which ends pretty nearby the side of transm, ission. Probabley could just relocate those pins at ECM to the VSS position, and splice on a VSS connector down at end formerly used at O2 sensor .
