Eaton install & new ring pinion
#11
Talled to Randy's yesterday before I left work. The tech seemed very knowledgeable and helpful. Anyways, he said either OEM or Yukon Gears are the best and quietest. He did say the Yukon's are slightly stronger, but a hair noisier. They are also about 75 buck cheaper for the Yukon's over the OEM's. Anyone here Yukons or have any suggestions? I still would like the OEM's and I am guessing that they would be quite strong enough for my application. I'll probably never get over 400 hp to the rear.

The Yukins are mostly just repackaged Motive Gear sets. There are very few people who actually make their own stuff (Richmond, Precision, Motive, the OE's), the rest are repackaged. The Yukons are a good gear and I wouldnt expect any nois in your application.

Yeah, well, most likely I wouldn't be able to hear them anyways over the sound of my exhaust. The only time I can here my Richmonds is when the windows are up and between 45-55 mph. lol. Just wondering if the Yukons were a quality gear like they said.
