Default Driveshaft upgrade?

So I recently swapped my turbo 5.3 to a 6.2. At 12 PSI I snapped my driveshaft in half. Is there a factory shaft that I can snag from the junkyard that's stronger? I have a 02 Sierra ecsb.

Yes it's 4x4. Looks like I'll grab another from the junk yard to get me by. I didn't think this would happen at only 12 psi. I'll definitely have to save for one to be built. Did ecsb trucks come with steel shafts at all?

How fast were you going when it fell apart?
Not all of them did. Some had aluminum. Depends on year and configurations.

I was pulling on it from 15 mph ish. Heard a noise and thought it was the trans. I said f it and laid into her going about 50 mph, that's when she snapped all the way and all hell broke lose lol.

I think I'm going to order a steel stock shaft from rock auto for now. They're cheap compared to a custom. I know I'll need one eventually, but the wallet doesn't have it in him right now.

All I see at the junk yards are aluminum for a ecsb. I need steel I'm sure. Once I crank her up to 30 PSI with a small shot I don't think aluminum will hold.

Stock aluminum wont hold but a quality aluminum will.

That's what I figured. I'm gonna snag a steel replacement for now online until I can do a custom.
