Driveshaft for 80e swap

I would still think the rear shaft would be shorter than stock, considering the transmission is like.. well a few inches longer.. I know one thing, it made me 4l60e feel like a childs toy. The 80 has so much more in it, it has to way 80lbs more than the 60..

From what I am reading there are some that are much longer with a parking brake attached to the tailshaft, but otherwise a 2wd 80e is about 9/16" longer than a 2wd 99 60e (from my research). Will find out tomorrow when I pick mine up I guess.

im in the procces of doin a conversion at the moment the 80 and the 60 are the same lenth but the output shaft is larger the a 60 i kept my stock drive shaft and just had a 80 slip yoke put on the end and it work great thats if your wanting to go the cheaper route
