Default driveshaft

i got good news today. i went to inland truck to see about a custom driveshaft because i read about the aluminum ones that are 80 some inches long failing. but mine is only 60 inches long and made out of 3 and a half inch steel on my 2012 rcsb ls work truck with hd trailering equipment package. i dont know if they all have steel driveshafts now?

It's a length thing, you can go up to 68in on a steel shaft safely, any length over than needs to be either two piece or the cheaper route of aluminum( thanks GM for picking the cheap route)

On the upside, I'm seeing 2 piece shafts in the catalog for some of the new CK7 trucks.
