Default drive shaft?

i have a 2004 gmc sierra 5.3/4l60 in a ext cab z71. im going to be swapping to the 4l80e soon i know ill have to cut my drive shafts, but i was wondering if a drive shaft from a 2005 hd will fit? im just looking at ideas idk if i have a shop around here that will cut and balance mu current one.

Are you speaking of the rear or front driveshaft?

o my bad, and i guess both? i got a buddie who has both. i know the rear will need to be shortened /

The front you can get off of a 2500hd, the common # that people seem to find that works is a 15182094. As for the rear, you may be able to find one that fits but I have not heard or seen a common one. You can get yours shortened or get a new one made.

Look in the Stickies in this section, there is a 60E-80E sticky that has allot of great info.

ya i been reading up on it, im pretty sure ill just have to get mine shortened and re-balanced, just sucks because u live about 2.5 hours one way for any shop that can do it haha
