Is this the slick that you recommended? Does anybody think that I can use my stock 16" Silverado wheels and have them widened to 9 1/2" wide w/ 6 1/2" of backspacing so that they fit the Hoosier Slicks (28x11.50-16LT). The Stock wheels are 8" wide w/ 5" of backspacing and then I would send them to Weld Craft Wheels to have them widened. Let me know what you think.

So these would be better in you opinion? The tire size would be (28x10.0-16)

Brad honestly its youre choice I have never run either tire but realistically the drag slick should definitely hook better. The thing with the drag slick if you want to race brackets you cant race the street class with out the DOT tire that is why I bought the M&H Cheater slick but now that I have the 4l80 trans I wish I had the 28'' DOT hoosiers. I like to bracket race every now and then.

I am now thinking that the widened 16" wheels will not work with the rear disc brakes, I will have to check this to make sure that it will not work.

Those are for 15" wheels, I need slicks for 16" wheels.
