Default DJM 4/6 lowering kit

anybody ever use this kit from djm? how did it ride? will come back into alignment?

seems like a good price, i know i will still need shocks but is there anything else you recommend?

also thought about getting these to help with the alignment
4951 Belltech - Front Alignment Kit At StylinTrucks.com

Ived used that kit with those shocks on a couple of trucks and rode damn good. Always got close to a perfect alignment. And never needed the alignment kit

i researched my 2/4 drop to death, and found that folks were complaining of bumpsteer with the LCAs. I have a set of Belltech spindles on the shelf that I'll be installing this weekend.

I really to do a 2" drop spindle an a 2" lower control arm but is expensive. I think it would be the best ride. What about a 2" spindle an a 2" drop coil? Would that be better?

You are correct about the bumpsteer being an issue. I recommend using the spring and spindle method over arms. With a 4" drop I would also run Street Performance shocks by Belltech.

Kris,
Do you recommend drop shocks for a 2/4? and do you recommend using shock extenders on the rear?

Thanks

I recommend using lowering shocks on any lowering kit. The rebound is much greater than OEM. This helps improve the ride quality. OEM shocks were designed to work with the OEM spring rate and height.

2/4 I would recommend Nitro Drop 2s for 88-98 and 99-06 trucks. 07+ Street Performance in rear.

Shock extenders are not required with such a mild drop.
