Damn 4. That is nutts. I would ditch the stock crap and go buy a tru track or an eaton unit. I have beat the crap out of my eaton even rotated the whole center section of the rear and my eaton still looks like it is brand new. Get you a good locker and you will be ok. A full spool is NO fun to drive on the street. You can do it but you will find yourself in the ditch sooner or later.

a Powertrax No Slip will install into the open carrier, allow differentiation and lockup when torque is applied. Also you won't have to reset the carrier, installs with hand tools. I recently got rid of mine in favor of an Eaton LSD, b/c it's not really smooth, but it does work.

Eaton LSD is the best. I have had mine in for 4-5 years with no problems. I recently did heads/cam and it still holds like new. I highly recommend that you do not do a spool.
