Diff cover torque info
I have a Summit diff cover with the bearing cap studs (TA Performance knockoff), and I seem to have misplaced my instructions and no one is answering there tech line at the moment.
What is the torque for cap studs? And is there a torque specification for the tightening nut that goes with it?
I assume these specs would be the same for the TA performance cover.
Thanks.

I have the same cover. Tighten the cover bolts to 25ft/lbs using an alternating crisscross pattern. Torque the bearing stud support and jam nut both to 10ft/lbs. NO MORE. The idea is to support the bearing not to overtorque it and make it out of round.
