Default It died

My tranny died today in an unusual circumstance.. I was drivng and it shifted fine then out of nowhere the engine Revvs up and shifts again and after that it wouldn't shift out of first unless i revved a bit on it.. I'm guessing the harness shorted out and caused some interesting issues.... I recently installed a Corvette Servo and it was shifting propperly after all of it.. Any ideas on what happened????

it would not likely pop the band. it sounds like a reaction shell or sun gear. do you have reverse?

2-4 band has my vote. Did you get a pop or grinding noise, or just lost a gear with no apparent noise or anything? What gears do you still have?

i still have all gears but for it to shift into 2nd it reqiures either babying the throttle or waitting till shift point and revving high to shift... I was told that one of the seals on the Servo Must have gotten pinched during install and eventually let go..

I'd also say the 2-4 band in that thing took a dump.... if it didnt make any unusual noise and just stopped pulling and wouldnt shift I'd definitely think it was the band.

Oregon performance transmissions has the Kevlar 2-4 band for pretty cheap I do believe.
