This is the true-trac that everyone usaly uses around here...

The one you linked to is a Detroit locker and will lock like you said, just a little throttle and it's solidly locked. They also click when you go around corners as they disengage and re-engage.

i think you might have a locker and not a tru trac...my locker in my blazer acts the same way as you describe yours to be.....the clunk scared me at first but was told thats its normal for a locker.

Ya, the Detroit locker is a noisier rear end, that's why guys like the True-trac, but it's just the way they are.

First time I drove a Stock Car with one in it around the pits, I came back and told them something was wrong in the rear end, it was banging and clanging, they just laughed and said that normal for them

Yep, I just got a PM about this and figured I'd clear this up... I'm not going to after him, and I'm not going to be pissed off at him, just wish I knew. If it were a "play" truck I probably wouldn't care and whip donuts all the time haha, but it's my work truck and I need to be professional when I roll up on a job to sell it, not squealing tires.

Also I'm worried about the slop being hard on the tranny that I JUST replaced, since when you're on and off the gas the tranny basically has no load then load no load then load ect.

Can you get a refund for a misrepresented sale? It was sold as a "POSI" and not a locker. You ended up getting a locker and not a limited slip diffy. Deal sounded shady when the seller didn't want to open the bag to just do a basic inspection or post up pics.
