This has been my problem too. I think I have too much fluid inside there

Get a new reverse input drum if you do a rebuild, or have someone do it...also a standard width carbonite alto band with corvette servo will solve all your needs...

Thats what I have in my Dodge Ram with the ls1 4l60e 75 shot...runs 12.9 ...shifts good every day

Mine was overfilled by 3 quarts when I bought it. Get the fluid right and it will help a lot. Either way this is probably the beginning of the end.

My fluid level is good. Just getting wore out I suppose. I like how seh6183 fixed his shifting problem

Well those are my intentions, hasn't happened yet. I figure I'll wait until smoke is billowing out of this one before I yank it. Or until I have every single component for my turbo setup staring at me from the garage floor, then I'll be forced to swap

PS I saw a bone stock 03ish Sierra with a ladder rack and a thousand tools in the back with the same problem. He was dropping some kids off in front of my buddys house last night and when he went to pull away his 1-2 shift was exactly like mine. I chuckled.

Consider yourself lucky, 3 and 4 in mine just **** the bed with 118 thousand miles behind a stock 4.8.

That sucks. I've blown up more than my fair share too. Some with less than a thousand miles.

For these reasons, I've decided 4l80e and be done with it.
