okay so the title sounds a little ghey but has anyone used some of the used nascar parts to make a sway bar? The parts are dirt cheap, for a little over 100 bucks you can get the bar and the ends. Im not planning this because its cheap im doing it because id rather make my own thing. my problem is i have no idea what pound torsion i should use? they go anywhere from like 80lbs per inch to 2000... ive also thought of gettings some more 1 1/4 .375 wall chromoly and cutting splines on it and using my 4 link dragster arms.
for conversations sake this is what im talking about

I have used several both front and rear. I bought the bars from Stock Car Products. The only pic I have doesn't have the arms on it. Its a custom 3 link under 48 Chevy truck.

what is your length there? also dia? and hollow or solid? thanks

Its solid. 37.5 sounds right. I cannot remember the dia. It has been a couple of years since the suspension fab. Did you try Schroeder? http://www.schroedersteering.com/SwayBarPage.html
Here are some pics of the completed truck

truck looks cool. Not sure i ever seen one with the ext cab before.. Schroeder is what i was looking at for the most part. I was using their site to see the rates for different diameters. im thinking of going with 1.25 ends and should be able to switch a wide variety of inner diameters to adjust for how i want it to feel.
thank ya
