Same here...I have an FLT Level 4 and didn't notice any change in shift characteristic when adding the servo. If you have already upped your trans shift pressure through programming, the servo will only help to maintain that "apply" pressure...or so I've been told.

goat. did you add the servo AFTER buying the FLT4? cuz it comes with one.

The shift is going to be quicker and more solid. It's not going to jolt you like adding a shift kit. But you should still tell the difference. I'd add a Billet 4th gear servo too.

there is a screw or somthing in the trans that you can also turn up like the line pressure, that helps a lot

I thin my pressure was about 10% over stock when I put the FLT4 in and I lowered it back down for fear of blowing the rearend.

Maybe I'm mistaken...I might be thinking about the billet 3-4 overdrive servo? Originally I was going to install a Transgo kit and the servos but decided to replace with the FLT L4 instead...I had my shop install the servo that "didn't" come with the FLT. I need to check my parts box to see what is left over...you are likely correct and considering that I rarely hit 4th with any authority, I haven't felt a difference.

A servo actuates somthing....I would not expect FIRMER shifts but QUICKER with an upgraded servo.
The line pressure can be adjusted physically yes, it can also be done in the tune. Unless you have a method of verifying the line pressure physically with a gage I would stick to doing it electronically in the software.

This is what I did and what I recommend...

Up D0701 (1->2 Base pressure) by 2-5%
Up D0702 (2->3 Base pressure) by 2-5%

Set D1108 (Desired 1->2 Shift times) to .300 entire table
Set D1109 (Desired 2->3 Shift times) to .300 entire table

Now go for a drive, if the part throttle and WOT shifts are not firm enough for you do the following...

Decrease D0801 (Torque Reduction 1->2) by -10% increments until the you like the shift firmness and quickness.... So after each adjustment go for a drive..... If you barking the tires you have gone tooo far, so increase the Torque Reduction a little bit...

Decrease D0802 (Torque Reduction 2->3) by -10% increments until the you like the shift firmness and quickness.... So after each adjustment go for a drive..... If you barking the tires you have gone tooo far, so increase the Torque Reduction a little bit...

I used the Torque reduction tables to get my shift perfect, currently I runa bout 35% of the stock values, but I have a shift kit so my desired shift times are at zero... I need to log the actualy shift time and load that value in the table so I can keep the adaptive shift learning working....

Just my .02.......
