My buddy has a blower 408 build in an avalanche with a 4L80e. He wants to convert it over to four-wheel-drive due to his frame allowing it to happen. Which transfer case would you guys recommend for that swap? Motor makes around 800whp.

 

Does he really want AWD or selectable 4wd? Please share more info on the motor setup, just curious.

 

Wants AWD to not need all the buttons. Built 408, ported ls3 heads, big cam, magnuson 2300...

I agree NVG149. He will need to have the input gear custom made for it to work. Time2kill can have them made for you

 

I swapped a 149 in on mine and love it. We had a sleet rain mix on the way home from work yesterday. I stood on it from every stop and turn and couldn't get even a squeak from a tire.

 

I have the transfer case off a 07+ escalade behind my 4l80e, bolted up with out any mods.
