I think they are putting a 4x4 4l80 into a 2wd truck. so would that just be cross member?

I believe all you need is the 2wd tail shaft and 2wd tail shaft housing Dan.

ahh ok . . . isn't the speed sensor in the 4wd case ? . .guessing just get that with the tail housing

That's what I thought bill. Check this out...the guy that builds tylers transmissions GAVE him a 4wd 4L80E in perfect working order for FREE!!!! He needed some good luck...

As far as I know. Need a 2wd ouput shaft, 2wd tailshaft housing, put a speed sensor in the rear of the tranny. It's not in the tailshaft housing, in the actual trans case. There is a dummy plug in the 4wd transmissions.
