When I installed my 278 I ran into the low idle issue but that was a quick fix with a tune, but also had a 300 rpm surge under load with lockup, this was due to the dumbass tuning from GM that softens converter lock up feel by constantly increasing and decreasing the TCC lockup PWM by about 15-20% causing the surge, again a quick fix with the tune but mine was just annoying and probably would have burnt up the TCC. So just watch out and pay close attention on your first test drive. But other than that it is sooo sweet!!

Im guessing that you were running the stock transmission tune when you installed the converter? I have a blackbear tune and my trans has been adjusted some..

You do need to make sure the PWM is set at 100%, no partial lockup.
