Default Converter/shift kit recommendations

I am getting ready next week to order a circle d 265mm billet single disc 2500-2700 converter. My truck is making 450 at the wheels and I'll be doing the vhp trucker cam later this summer. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions for stall speed. My truck has a mp112 and makes all its power pretty low. It starting running out before it even hit 6K rpm, and I'm guessing that's because the small blower on my ls6 motor.

Also, do you guys think I need a shift kit? Was considering a transgo hd2, but I have the line pressure turned up a bit in the tune, but I have no problem dropping the money for a shift kit if it would beef the trans up some. I did the 4l80e swap about 900 miles ago with an all stock low mile 2001 4l80e and oem verter.

I think that stall speed will be good, and I would definitely do a shift kit.

I was planning on doing a flex plate upgrade at the same time. Should I get the heavy duty sfi circle d plate or spend an extra 100 on the tci? I don't really think ~500 awhp will need the $400 billet bad boy do you?

Do you happen to know the part number? Does it use a spacer, or is it built for the loger crank and 4l80e combo?

is it part # 399754? I see spacer and bolts are included with that #

It doesn't use a spacer but does have a piece that fits between the plate and converter pilot.

Its made for use with the regular LS crank, not the 99-00 lq

I have a hybrid converter so that's a 60e flex plate.

Wd can use our Dual LS billet front, that will fit any flexplate mentioned here. It has the 4L80 and 4L60 BP and the longer LS pilot so no extender needed. Our steel SFI flexplate has 6 converter bolts on the 4L80 and 6 on the 4L60. If you want to get the TCI, get the 399754 4L80 version. That way you can use a 6 converter bolts.
