common oil leaks?

Default common oil leaks?

i have been trying to track down this oil leak on my 5.3L and i keep scratching my head. its leaking above the starter somewhere. its honestly really annoying to have an oil pan under my truck. any advice would be awesome. thanks

Oil level sensor? Cam position sensor? Valve cover? Oil pan gasket?

my torque converter is dry. its leaking on the passenger side of the truck. i pulled the skid plates off and im going to put her on jack stands this weekend and try and see. i put long tubes on the truck last weekend and the block is dry from what i could see. this is beginning to frustrate me.

Pull the sending unit plug and see if theres oil on the plug. Alot of them leak straight out the top of the sending unit.

So did mine, and it kept getting worse until I replaced the dipstick tube. I had broken off about an inch of the old one, and even though there was still a significant length going into the block, no amount of cleaning and resealing would stop the leak.
