Default Clutch Problems?

My Sierra is the first vehicle I've owned that is a standard. I picked it up a little over a month ago and I really didn't have much trouble learning how to drive stick. However, last night a friend drove my truck and said that my clutch was shitty and it was "bouncing on him" in first gear? I have no idea what that means but the truck is a 2005 with 34,000 miles on it and it drives completely fine. I'm probably overreacting but I just don't want any trouble with the tranny.
Thanks.
