Just a heads up.
Thanks! Appreciate the heads-up.

Sweet and nice looking ride btw... Who did the tune or what tuner are you using? And how do you like the cam that's spec'd in your signature? Looks alot like the one I'm looking at.

A buddy of mine did the tuning. He uses hp tuners. 10 years experience in tuning. I haven't bought a camshaft yet. I had stock48 spec that cam for a tvs1900. But I recently purchased a set of tsp 2.5 heads with 1518 springs (10,xxxmiles) for $400. My buddy put his truck back to stock. I'm thinking of having them milled .030 and going with a tsp 220 on a 112. Still undecided for now!

Wow! Great deal on the heads. Probably gonna freshen mine up w/5 angle valve job and maybe larger valves. My stock heads are supposed to flow reasonably well to .600 for a moderate street use. I'll probably clean'em up, put the new springs on them, drop the new lifters in put them back on and call it done. I'm looking at the TP/TSP 220 on 112 but have some reservations. MD smogs us here every 2 years. There's a few tricks you can use to get buy. I'm also looking at a couple profile's a couple forum members had custom ground to specifically pass smog that put down some pretty impressive numbers. Right now making parts lists and placing orders. Got the new water pump today and the Comp. LS roller rocker bearing upgrade kit. It'll come together. Just trying to get it right the first time without tending to over do it.. lol

Your comment about wishing you had more stall is probably the most common one. I may get to beat mine this weekend if the rain quits. Compared to stock is an appreciable difference. Too bad nobody makes a trans brake for a 60E, lol! Might help sensationalize the holeshot a little

Break in is only for the lock up clutches.

Chris nailed the converter in my former Camaro. Told him I wanted the best of both worlds (n/a & bottle). Circle D 4C 3800 flashed 3750 n/a and 4200 on the bottle. 60' improved .12 n/a and .10 on the bottle and gained 2-3 mph on the big end vs Vigilante 2800. I was still dialing in the suspension shooting for a 1.3x when the track closed. My best 60' was a 1.42 with 3600# raceweight on a stock 10 bolt. I'm sure it helped that I knew the weight and power that I was making n/a and on the bottle.

I will be a return customer with my next project.

I would love to have a brake in my truck, ran one in my brothers 92 rclb with a ATI TH400. Nothing like coming off the brake with a 4000 stall and over 600 N/A hp

Thumbs up

Well matted the gas pedal tonight. Wow. And I'm running the stock tune corrected for speedo compensation only. Tanked up with high test 93 tune goes back in tomorrow. Between the new FP regulator and the converter alone it's a runner. Can't wait to data log, adjust the LTFT's and PE and reload it. Can't imagine how much better a truck like this can be with a custom tune, larger valve heads, some more compression, TP 220 and headers. Unfortunately for my bank account I'll probably get to find out.

i started at 2800 stall, then 3,000, 3200, 3600, 4300, now i have a 4,600 sitting in the garage that i'm thiking about sending in to have loosened up. the 4l60e that i'm having built now will have a trans brake in it.
