Default chevy 8.1 6 speed

ok guys tring to do some research and see if the 6 speed from a 8.1 could poss bolt up to a LSx block? just thinking of some poss. options for my set up.

Im pretty sure it wouldnt, I believe they are totally different. why not just do a t-56?

i think they would because they come with either the allison or 6speed in trucks and in burbans they come with 80e and the 80e bolts to the lsx so i think they should but there are no performance parts for it and they have to be shifted SSSSLLLLLOOOOWWW

well i want to do a T-56 with a HD 4x4 transfercase but its looks like its gonna be a full custom Tcase so i was looking for diff routes to go

I didnt think about it that way, but I was told at one time that the 8.1 is a completely different design. I guess the bellhousing could be the same though.
