Check my fluid and gasket choice

I got this stuff on a recommendation from the guy at Auto Zone. I know the brand may not be the best but I just want to make sure it’s the right weight and correct modifier. I also got a Fel-Pro gasket, figured that would be fine.
I have an eaton LSD installed. I was told to add the whole bottle of additive (7 ounces)
Is this the right stuff and amounts?

From Eatons website

What kind of oil should I use? Can I use synthetics? Do I need a friction additive/modifier?
Eaton Posi units perform best when using GL4 (or better) mineral/petroleum based gear oil. A four ounce bottle of friction additive/modifier is also necessary for optimum performance.
Fel Pro gasket should be RDS55028-1

Whats the fill amount for the diff fluid? The whole gallon?

texasbullseye89 06-28-2010 01:53 PM

2-3 quarts max. dont remember for sure but I know its not a gallon.

Fill until your finger tip can touch the fluid through the fill hole. It's a little over 2 quarts from what I remember.

Thats works for me. It has a very very minor drip from the current seal. Enough to annoy me into fixing this :D

I use regular 80/90 and ford limited slip additive. works the best for me. I used the gm stuff and it chattered bad. the stuff in the bottle should work fine.

Same brand I used when I did my gasket, should be okay!
