What year/size truck? 1/2 tons with the 8.5" 10 bolt and RPO G80 Gov-Lok don't need the friction modifier additive.

Say what? lol...beg to differ friend. I work at a dealership and I know to be fact, that if you got a Posi Trac (G80) you DO have to have the Limited Slip Additive.

My truck right now is popping and jerking because I didn't add enough additive.

If you have a locker.....you should use the Additive.

I thought the additive was only for the clutches? I believe the G80 does not have any clutches in, hence no additive. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Not trying to be a dick, but I've heard that before from dealership employees, BUT the shop manager assured me that the G80 in my ZR2 did NOT use the additive. It was the same 8.5" 10 bolt that's in the full-size trucks. This debate's been going on for years over on ZR2.com.
