Default Cerfti (Crappy) Fit HD Hoods?

Just a thought...and after trying to call my local Crappyfit isn't open...

Long time lurker, first time poster...
But I'd really really like to get a HD hood on my 99 ECSB 1500 as part of some appearance mods I'm tryiing to take care of on the front end.
I remember buying a hood for my brothers little Honda...which was literally under 50 bucks. Granted...it was probably chinese steel and not nearly as much as in an HD hood, but I figure a crappifit replacement would be pretty cheap. I know the fit isn't show quality, but I use my truck everyday as well...so I'm not 100% concerned with that... I'd rather put it towards other things on the truck.
Has anyone tried this...or know anyone working at a Certifit? From their website I don't beleive it called out a different hood for the HD's...which led me to beleive they didn't carry the higher HD hood. Any input?

Thanks
J

I have a factory GM hd hood on mine, I don't recall how much it cost because it was covered by insurance. It won't fit as well as stock. The body guys people said that every hood from GM comes out a lil different.

I've been tossing that idea around for months. You can get the GM hood for $350-$450 from your local dealer. The Certifit hood goes for $109. Add $200 for paint $300 if your paint is metallic. I'm not sure about fit and finish on the Certi. I bought a tailgate from them, it looked ok from a distance. But close up, you could see that the lines didn't match up. And when the gate was down, the steel was so thin it would creek and I'd be leary about sitting on it.
