Default Can I swap an 03 rear end into my 08 silver?

I have a NNBS silverado with disk brakes up front and drums in the rear. My diff gave out about to weeks ago and money is tight right now. I have a complete diff off a 03 silverado with disk brakes and g80/3:73. My factory rear has the g80 with 3:73 gears. can i just swapp the diffs and be alright? Or will the abs light come on?

the 08 axles are an inch or two wider than the older ones. But you may be able to swap them over still if the leaf spring mounts are in the same location (that I don't know)

They are not the same housing. Different length and brackets. You can transfer your disk brake stuff over though. You will need new e brake cables and some work on the brake lines.

Need to consider the ABS reluctor if you have it from the 03 is in a different location, plus the brake calipers are different from 03 to 08. SO, yeah, sure, it'll physically fit and the U-joint I think is the same but you'll run into some issues with the brakes.
