I've always been impressed with how Chris and the gang package their stuff to ship. Interested to see how that stall speed choice works out for you!!

OP, to answer your original question......I always seem to have more friends when my pockets are flush. So yes, having money and buying cool **** definitely makes you cooler.

I am constantly encouraging everyone around me to buy cool ****.

I am going to sell it. The torque converter did what I expected it to do, but only in boost. It allowed the engine to pull from much lower rpm, and also not spin the tires as bad as a stock converter. It was cool to have the extended power band, from less than 2000 all the way to the peak (+-6000). But only in boost. During normal driving, it runs like everyone warned me that it would. Lethargic. Review complete.

If I was you I would be putting in a tight 265mm.

You need stall speed even with big cubes and a blower. Given its street use you want flash speed to be below peak torque by a decent margin, but due to the way the truck has been built your torque curve is going to look like a shelf... so if you stall 3k-3200 wide open you wont wish for any more. By the way its going to take a really tight converter to only stall 3000-3200 - DON'T ASK FOR A 3000. Ask for a 2600ish.

I got a 2800 rpm 310mm torque converter from Summit. Hughes brand. I am hoping that their guess of 2800 RPM is as accurate as Circle D estimate of 1600 RPM. When I stomped on the gas with the Circle D, my tach went to 1800. I doubt it, though. Circle D could probably be more accurate with their estimate because of the similarity of my torque and a diesel's torque. I think Hughes' guess is a lighter vehicle and less torque. I will find out soon, I hope. I hope I don't get stuck in another work and weather cycle keeping me from getting it installed. And I hope my stall speed is well below 3000 rpm.

My FTI SRLS 2800 (single disk) was damn near perfect with the Whipple. It was tight but still stalled right at 28-3000.
