Is anybody runnin Caltracs & Spring clamps together I allready have spring clamps and still get wheel hop evey now and then I will be installin the Caltracs in a week or two and would like to use both for the extra insurance that it wont happen again as i want my Tranny and rear to last as long as possible. Although I know the Trans is on borrowed time.

do you have to bang on the spring clamps to get them on? I was going to slip mine on one day but they didn't want to fit over the leaf springs (by hand) so I said f it at the time.

I have caltracs and spring clamps. No wheel hop whatsoever! I don't have the greatest of traction, but that's because I don't pre-load the caltracs on the street, I run street tires and I launch with 2psi.

If you put the spring clamps on close to the axle then slide them outwards with the plate and bolts already on then you can push out further and then use a hammer to hit it out to the edge.

when i put mine on i had to take off about 1/8th of an inch on the inside of the threads, so it would slide all the way down to the end of the overload spring.. but im guessing no-one else put theres that far back?
