Your right about what they will drop a truck when used together.
But the hangers are specified as either 3" or a 4" lowering hangers.
I guess it is just automatic that you will be using shackles with the hangers.

i have the 2" shackel in the back and stock hangers.

they asked me when i ordered them if i needed the parts for a lowered truck. i think they just swap out the parts for no charge if you need the ones for a lower truck. from what i can tell it is the same set up but the front triangle is just missing the bottom hole and made higher without it.

not trying to hi-jack the thread, but, does anyone have the Cal-Tracs installed on an Ext. Cab with Hotchkis rear springs?
I have this set-up and haven't installed the Cal-Tracs yet...I have read other threads posting possible issues, but no final word from anyone...

I am ready to have them installed very soon...

Well, there are very few that have installed the Caltracs with aftermarket rear suspension components.
I guess you can be one of the ones to let us know how it works out!
Consider yourself the ginipig!!

Ahhhh....I was a bit skeptical on the spelling, but I went for it anyways!
I guess you still got what I was saying, so that's all that matters!

I have the hotchkis rear spring and the cal trac's. You have to tell them you have those springs the bushing is a different size. I think it is a rb 185, call caltracs and let them know that you have those springs and how low they are. They will send your kit with the right bushing size and maybe different size bars. Mine where a different size that the stock suspention setup. I have the 4 inch lower on a rcsb, rcsb and ecsb use the same kit from hotchkis. Hope that helps you.

Oh! If you get tired of hearing that slaping nosie, just cut a 3/4 rubber hose and zip tie it on the upper bolt that rests on the spring. No nosie, I leave my bars loaded at all times. You never know when you are going to need them... Ride is still good!
