Default buying used 4l80e.. look for?

alright so shortly ill be supercharged and maybe a little shot of nitrous. not sure as of yet but id like to get 450 to the wheels. i would rather not mess around with built 60's unless someone gives me a good reason to keep it.

question is... am i better off paying 900 for a 2007 20k mile 4l80e out of a van or spend only 500 or so on a higher mileage trans from a 2500hd truck. i would think the van would get less abuse and i see that its totalled so it must have been running when its life ended. im thinking of selling the new hd2 i have for 60e and buying one for the 80. and also selling my vig 3200 for a circle d 80 converter.

either way i go i will be changing driveshafts because of the ridiculously long one piece in my truck

Yea, go with the lowest mileage, newest unit you can find. Make sure to buy it from a reputable place and you won't have any issues. I've bought all my used parts this way and haven't had any issues.

i have looked at car-part.com and talked to my bros shop. they said they can get me anything from there. guy from a local yard just got back in touch with me and said he can do 675 for the 20k mile one out of a work van. anything i should look for in particular? id assume my starter will work with this and want to get a converter which will let me keep my stock flex plate.

man i wish i couldve found one with that little miles on it.... but anyways... get a dipstick/ shift bracket/ yoke and any other misc parts you may think you need.... also call yank or circle D and they can get you the converter you need for your flexplate.....
