i just wont beat on it as much and get the rear first.. then save for the tranny. its gonna be a long process.. but this has been my favorite project so far. i love chevy, i love my truck.

If you have any intention of going past bolt ons, then your first mod should be a new trans. I spent all of my money on power mods never addressing the trans. Then when it finally went, my truck sat for 6 months while I saved money for a new trans. I won't ever go that route again.

I think as long as you don't mess with the torque management for the time being you should be fine then when you get the new trans you can tune most of that out. just my opinion. there are a lot of FI guys still running stock transmissions but really anyone of the two can go at any time.

I would do the trans. A rear end will hold a lot stock imo.
