Not saying mix sonnax, use it in place of the hd2 and transgo piston.... Personally prefer the sonnax performance pack with couple other sonnax pieces, over the transgo hd2.... And have heard mixed reviews on shift quality with the transgo kit in the 4l60.... Took me a while searching but i had found the transgo instruction sheet online, and in all honesty for a newb the sonnax instructions are much clearer.... The only thing i used from the transgo kit were the pump rings and the 7cs spring kit, and i have firm shifts all the way through 4th gear, and the 1-2 if definitely there, but it doesnt feel like its going to rip the transfer case or rear end out.... And the sonnax kit comes with all three pinless accumulator pistons.

You can throw all the hard parts you want at it but unless you tune the transmission, you're still going to break it.

I remember something about the beast shell and vibration problems, is this a concern? The Sonnax shell is supposed to be better generally (from what I read).

I am not a pro.

It happens but its usually a clearance issue somewhere else that causes it, but the stock shellbeing off center will cause vibrations also....

Ok yeah sonnax is definitely the way to go. Would that make it stand up to a Cam and be a good trans in general?

Is a new shell required? Obviously it's better. Is it included in the sonnax kit?

I've liked it so far, I'm just worried about adding more power and breaking something.
