Break in period? I would just run it till its warm, check the fluid and go through a few easy part throttle shifts to make sure everything is fine and then mash on the gas!

if your installing a new torque converter there's about a 500 mile brake in period. Each manufacture has a specific brake in procedure. Just give em a call and they will let you know.

I would ask FLT, every builder has their preference.

Personally I would just double check the fluid, shift through the gears a couple of times, and go for it.

Which converter did you go with?

I installed my FLT Level7 and Circle-D 258mm 2B billet multi-disc a little over a year ago, and I remember that I was told to take it easy for 500 miles...then at 501, I let er rip! I believe that besides converter break-in, you want to allow the frictions in the trans to seat and wear in properly without excessive heat and glazing.

Speaking of excessive heat...hope that you installed a decent trans cooler along with that nice expensive new combo...gotta protect your investment!
