Brakes shudder.
#1
I've had a problem for some time now with my front brakes shuddering when I use them. No ABS problems or anything. Front end is aligned, tight and in good shape overall. Tires have been recently rebalanced and road force tested. I also recently put new pads and rotors on but my calipers are the original from 2000 with 247,000 miles on them. Could it be a piston sticking and causing the pads to load against the rotors unevenly? This is what I'm beginning to think since I did notice one of the old pads was wearing unevenly. I want this shudder gone as it's driving me nuts. LOL

It's always possible that a caliper is sticking and causing more heat on one rotor and making this problem. Old rubber hoses can cause uneven pressure to the calipers too.
MAybe take a heat gun and see if one side gets hotter after a small drive.
At 247k, you might be due for some new front calipers/hoses.
