Eradispeeds, hawk pads, some good fluid and and stainless lines will make a huge difference. There are a few guys who have fit alumasports in 18s with just grinding a little on the back side of the caliper.
Sounds like about $1600. Do the rotors make that much difference over stock?

YES! Yes my buddy with an rcsb Z71 put the eradispeeds on the front with the two piece rotor, with stainless lines and from a 80-0 run it honestly tried to throw you through the windshield. When he stopped smoke came pouring past teh truck. I was impressed that was with stock pads. IMO its the best bang for the buck you can get with brakes.

I didn't want to hear that but it's probably what I need to hear.

Yeah.. I saw those and I went to the SSBC web site and to Byrne, a sponser and I'll be looking more at those.

Just looked and the 14" rotor kit w/3 piston caliper's, all four wheels, looks to be right at $3k.

But they are cool!

Went to TByrne to check it out. If the sweet voiced young female was correct the 14" rotors & 3 piston calipers are $2310 (rounded up) and that's w/their special which is a discount of $140. Then powdercoating is $95.... oh did I forget(?) that's $95 per caliper!!!, or $380 for powdercoating. Seems just a tab bit high for powdercoating. $2690 total. (edit: I talked to SSBC later and found that it's $95 for a pair... as I thought and tried to tell the lil girl.)

The Eradispeed 14" rotors w/stock calipers, Hawk pads and SS lines would be about $1600, maybe $1550.

About $1k difference and for that $1k I'd be getting 3 piston calipers... make that PRETTY 3 piston calipers.

I'm in the process of putting together a C5 Corvette Z06 front brake package. I am going to have to modify the spindle and get a bracket to mount the abutments and calipers to. You can get the cross-drilled/slotted rotors at Napa for around $80/each and the calipers on eBay for around $215 see here.

All in all it should cost around $450-500 for 12.8" brakes that will perform better.

I put the alumasport calipers and discs op front looks great and stops great. Rims are dirty after a day and a half and they squeek all the time. I say upgrade what you got and use ceramic pads. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THE CERAMICS ARE GOOD FOR LOW DUST BUT WHEN THEY HEAT UP THEY LOOSE THEIR BRAKING ABILITY. JUST SOMETHING TO KEEP IN MIND.
