Default Brake upgrade?

I'm sick and tired of dealing with the stock rotors and the warping. I'm gonna upgrade to bigger rotors and possibly upgrade the calipers as well. Post up what upgrades you have and your impressions compared to the stock brakes. I'm only changing the front because I use 15" slicks at the track. I have 18" wheels on the truck also.

if you dont want a kit, id suggest the SSBC quickchange 3-piston calipers, see stylin concepts. and the baer eradispeed 1 rotors in front and decelarotors in the rear

i know you only said fornt but the calipers and decelarotors are made for stock rims but i wouldnt want to start grinding on a set of $1k per axle calipers so maybe just the rotors in the rear

While you're in there Dave you should look into some stainless lines and different fluid like ATE Super Blue. That alone will give you better braking. Hawk pads are awesome but some of them dust pretty bad from what I've heard. I'm still trying to decide on rotors myself, lol. I'm looking at Powerslots right now.

I did the SSBC rotor and pad upgrades from Summit, braided lines are not available for some reason unless you fab your own. Def a difference, not huge, but "better".
They are still semi metalic pads and with a white truck the little rusty specs on the tailgate suck!!

Wilwood fronts. 6 pistons with slotted and cross drilled rotors.

Don't know how they perform yet but should in a few days hopefully. I've heard from a few friends with trucks and upgraded brakes that it was the best mod they'd ever done to their trucks. And 2 of those guys are pushing 500rwhp so to enjoy your brakes more than your engine says a lot.

Don't you have to have 20" wheels for the 6 piston wildwoods?
