Brake rotors, wtf?
#1
Why are both of my front rotors wearing like this? My brakes are operating normally, but I have been getting a brake and ABS light lately.
A while back my left rear rotor developed the same wear pattern. I removed it and sanded it smooth and now it is wearing normally. What is going on?

1) Your rotors have a great deal of pitting. You really need to replace them
2) It looks to me that your pads are only making contact with about 2/3 of the surface area? Is this correct? did you put on the correct pads? I can't imagine this happening, but, then again anything is possible.

I have seen this a lot on trucks that are in snow climates. It is very important to lube the sliders and bolts so the calipers can slide smoothly. The pistons need to move freely and there should not be any rust or debris where the brake pads mount.

As far as I know these are the correct pads, they have worked properly for about 10,000 miles.
The rear pads have created the same problem, and they are original.
I will check the pads tomorrow and post pictures of what I find.

what do your pads look like?
