Default Braided Stainless Brake Lines

I'm looking at upgrading to a set of the Russel Stainless Braided lines for the truck. Anyone done just the lines before doing anything else with the rotors and/or calipers? Just wanting to know if you noticed that much of a difference in stopping and pedal feel.

Your pedal feel will get WAY better... it will feel like you have more control over the system and a MUCH firmer pedal.... its a good upgrade to get even with stock calipers.
-my new rotors and pads will be going in this weekend.... the hoses will be in next payday.... I'm broke...

Not to get off topic but what is the ID of the aftermarket hoses? i just got about 75 teflon lined stainless braided hoses from an un-sayable source...no there not hot. But they have a 1/4 inch ID and I talked to a Hydrualic supplier today and he said they are safe for just about any fluid including gasoline and brake fluid and have a rating of 3000psi and a burst of 12,000psi!!

Thanks for the feedback. I got into this debate with my dad yesterday and he said I wouldn't notice the difference on my truck as much as my car in the pedal firmness and stopping ability since the master cylinder on the trucks aren't the same pressure and volume as the Fbody master (don't know if that's true or not, just what his thoughts were). I'm broke now too though, that's why I'm looking at doing the lines over the rotors and pads right now. That and I'm taking a brakes class so I've got access to a vacuum bleeder now to bleed the lines so I wouldn't have to manually bleed them later.

the truth is, you will feel it more in the truck since it weighs more to begin with...

non sponsor link

There's also another place to get them for less....but they aren't a sponsor so I PM'd you the other address. That's where I plan to buy my lines from.

FWIW, did you not get new brake lines with that lift kit though? I thought that normally the better known lift kits came with new braided stainless lines.
