Default Best place to get Nitto 404

OK did a serach but didn't come up with anything. Looking to get some nitto 404's in a 305/55/18. That is one of the few 305's I can find for an 18 that is reasonably priced (to me). One of the few places I found that sells them is discounttiredirect.com which with shipping brings me to ~650. Anyone know of any other sources?

That's a pretty big tire isn't it? I'll be mounting the 285/50 nitto 404's that come off my boyds and probably go 295/45 when the time comes. maybe 305/45 NT555R on the back.

NT 404-305/55 R18 117V
31.18" -overall diameter
12.24" -overall width
8.5-(9.5)-11.0" -approved rim width

NT 404-285/50 R18 113V
29.06" -overall diameter
11.54" -overall width
8.0-(9.0)-10.0" -approved rim width

NT 555-295/45 ZR18
28.31" -overall diameter
11.54" -overall width
9.5-(10.0)-11.0" -approved rim width

I am assuming your truck is not lowered since those tires wouldnt have a chance of fitting on even a 2/4. I will be running some 295/45/18s on mine with a 2/4 drop.
As far as getting them online, dtt is probablly going to be your best bet. Check with some of your local tire shops. Sometimes they can be quite competative after you factor in shipping from the online distributor then paying someone to mount/ballance them.

Not lowered yet, but have plans for a Hotchkis in the future. You don't think it would go with the 305's. I thought Creederado had 305's all the way around at one point, but I think I may be wrong on this. I really want something around the 29-30" range, but no one makes 305 tires like that for under $200 a tire. It seems the "right" sizes are all made for the 555 tire, which seems a little too extreme for my daily driver.

Yeah, I had originally thought 285/50 but I really want that wider width. I'll have to keep thinking about it I guess.

The 285/50 are still a pretty beefy tire. I was happy with the 404 I had in that size.
No, I dont think the 305/55 are going to fit with a 2/4. I had 275/60/18 when I first pu on my Hotchkis kit and they rubbed in turns and bumps.

I'm with BigKID on this, I believe you will have some fitment issues if you stick with those tires and a 2/4 drop. The 285/50's are really pretty wide on a 9.5" rim. IMO the 305/55 would buldge or balloon out too much. Give it some thought and look around to see what others have on 18's. Whatever makes you happy.
